So I just got my new TASCAM DR100 mkii in the mail today, quite excited ;D
So I plug in my phantom power adaptors (Samson PM4) to the Tascam XLR input, and now it won't come out (one pulled right out, the other is stuck)
What to do!?
-
paper clip
-
If I can fit it in.....I will let you know if it works
-
The PM4's always appeared to be a little wider than standard XLR's, at least in my experience. I can't help but recommend some breakout cables between them and the recorder.
-
I've been trying the paperclip, it's not helping. It looks like it locks on the inside of the connection, I'm not sure how a paper clip is even supposed to help.
-
I've worked a paper clip with a small loop bend at the tip to release the latch in the past when this has happened.
-
Like was mentioned above, the fit is tight. I can squeeze a small paperclip in a bit, but there is zero wiggle room. I am going to try and disassemble the phantom power adapotor, to see if I can get it back that way. It's hard just to return this to the seller, because then I risk losing my adaptor.

Did u get it fixed?

Nope, I'm stuck, going to call Tascam support in the AM. Just hope my adaptor doesn't get los in the process.

Similar thing happened to a friend of mine when he first tested his DR-40
