Title: HELP QUICK please! at853 problem

Got a gig in an hour. Anyone ever have the outer shell of the capsule come loose?  I was spinning on one of my 853 hyper caps (old style) and it just kept spinning. It seems as if it is just a cosmetic/protective shell around the element.  Just wondering if anyone had that happen.  I would really like to run the hypers, but i do have a pair of card caps in my pocket.

So the thread is stripped? Can you temporarily keep it in place with some gaffe tape?

No the thread is tight. Its outter shell that came off. Think it was glued!

It came completely off? I guess it doesn't really surprise me that they're glued on. At least it should be an easy fix once you get home.

Levels look fine!  Thanks guys, just cosmetic i think....  i didnt pull it off, but i bet it would come off...  (opener is on now, grace potter headline...)

I had that happen to one of my Cardioid 853 caps...be sure to line up the slots like the other good one!
