Title: Encode WAV to FLAC in Windows 8
Post by: microburst on March 19, 2013, 12:52:50 AM
I recently had to get a new laptop due to the death of my last laptop. I ended up getting a device that runs windows 8 - it's totally different than windows 7 and very disorienting (no "start" menu, for example) but I'm getting the feel for it.  Anyway, I got FLAC Frontend installed but can't get the thing to encode wav file to flac.  When i tell frontend to encode to FLAC I got a "run-time error '75': Path/File access error."

I feel like I also had this problem originally in windows 7 and the solution was to login using the administrator account and then I could encode with no problem.  Currently I can't even figure out how to run windows 8 as administrator so that's partly the problem, but is there a better or suggested workaround for this?

Nevermind, I installed TLH and had no issues.  Goodbye FLAC Frontend.
