What is the minimum hardware requirements for a laptop to do taping with? I'm on PC.

good question, my buddy is getting rid of his laptop from 1998, I'm about to find out what it's all about but maybe it could handle just being dedicated to only recording audio...

I taped several shows on a 475mhz AMD k6-2 with 256mb ram. CDWave had a tendency to lock up at teh start of the second set(after i changed the d/l file name). I don't know why it would happen right there. But once I restarted, it was fine. So I would think you could get away with just about anything from that range upwards. If the computer is stable, then you are fine. If you can get something with a little more ram, then I think you would be all set! good luck

I have a Celeron 400Mhz Toshiba Satellite with 192MB of RAM (maxed) & it works good.... Had dropped samples issues my first time out but that was due to lack of sufficient buffers.
I suppose I should get a hard drive upgrade at some point.... still using the OEM 6GB drive, but I don't get out taping too often so I don't need gobs of space.
