Title: Rewiring Core Sound HEB's?
Post by: bhoy on April 11, 2013, 11:34:54 PM
Hi -

I've got a new set of Core Sound HEB's on order, but I'm not sure if they will arrive in the next week or so, in time for a set of shows.  My old set has finally died; most likely a break in the wire far down from the capsule.  They still work, but there is static when I touch the cable.  Over the years, the wire covering had become brittle and I tried to repair it with liquid tape.

I seem to remember someone being able to completely replace the wires on the HEB's with a cut near the capsule.  Does anyone offer this service?  I'd be willing to pay whatever it took to get these repaired, if it's a job that can be done.

Thanks,
Bill

are you sure its not the battery box, they are notorious for bad connections, I have repaired a couple, they are packed so tight in there with the battery that essentially it breaks a solder point

Bummer to hear about your mics Bill! Hopefully you can get back up and running soon though and don't miss out on anything!

Hey Bill: We can provide a new cable for the capsules as long as the break is not anywhere near the cable's entrance to the capsule.
