I sold my old DSM-6 pair awhile back and regretted it. Made my very first st*#lth recordings with them. Just found a pair of 6Ls on the 'Bay.

Nice score. These, next to the Nevaton MCE400's, are the only small omnis I've never run. I'd been keeping my eyes open (on and off) for a pair because I liked how they sound. Had I seen these, I would've jumped on them since the seller lives two cities over from me. :(

There are definitely times when even my at853s are a little unwieldy when eyes are upon me.

Maybe. Then again, if you're wearing the right hat, size DOESN'T matter. :P

Except that I look stupid in a hat, and there are a lot of times when wearing a Kangol--like at a jazz club--would draw more attention than I'd want. ::)

Hey, so do I, and there have been times when I've worn a black ball cap with the 853's clipped to the sides of it -- that's never fun in a 200 seater dinner theatre environment, either, especially after being told you could run open. :)

I still have my SS DSM-6 and the D6...
