THinking of going strictly patching. Havent been but to one show this year soo far and when I do go to shows there are plenty of tapers. I dont venture out to too many local shows as it is. So I think I am going to sell all my gear except what I need to patch...I have one question though.....should I keep my DMIC-20 as a frontend to the JB3 for patching or go with something else??? Or is that just off the wall...any advice needed....

Does the DMIC-20 have a digital passthrough?
At any rate, for patching I'd just use:
[1] barrel splitter
[2] Hosa ODL-276
[3] 4-pin/4-pin firewire cable
Splitter will allow you to pass on the digi signal you're receiving via coax. The Hosa will convert to optical. And the firewire cable will allow you to copy the show to other JB3s super-fast at set break or post-show.

Dont think I will be keeping the DMIC-20....hate to sell all my gear but It needs to get used ..... will be posting all my gear for sell later this afternoon.
THanks

What do you guys think of the Digital patch panels out there (kind kables or pro digital). I would have no problem offering up my coax port, that is not in use, to a JB3/MD patcher w/ a digi patch panel and a ODL 276 otherwise i generally give em an analog out. I would feel more comfortable offering a line into the patch panel than directly into my UA-5 which I always leave cabled. been thinking about picking one up just to have anyways.

I think that would be welcome with most any taper Fozzy... that way they just throw down a coax out and the patchers can fend for themselves. A wise investment if patching, especially with a JB3... I know I'd gladly make room for you.
