Title: Small preamp for PC mic?
Post by: pjp on March 30, 2004, 02:11:23 PM
Advanced search didn't help me, so I come for advice!

What I'm looking for is a really, really simple amplifier I can use for my PC microphone (headset for gaming).  Everything I've found is either DIY or way more than I need (and therefore more than I really want to spend).  Anyone ever encountered something like this?

I hooked it up to up my portable MD to try the preamp on that, and it worked great, but it'll only stay in record-pause for just so long ;)

you could put a disc in and actually record giving you 80 mins (or 320 in LP4) of preamp time.  Just erase and record over when it gets towards the end.  That is kinda janky though
