Title: gooseneck extenstions?
Post by: macntem on August 01, 2013, 03:39:49 PM
Can someone advise me on a stout gooseneck to screw into a clamp(5/8) and extend about 20" or so? I would be mounting 2 universal shock mounts, attached to a stereo mic bar(AKG KM) holding the cmc bodies, would be the most weight I guess I would ever have.

Why a gooseneck?  I use an articulating arm when I need to do something like this.

I use a single:

Here is a double articulating arm some people have mentioned:

Heavy duty flex arm (like the gooseneck):

So just to verify...it looks like on one end there is a  5/8" female thread and the other end 1/4"?
I have ordered a Mini Cardellini clamp with a 3/8" to 5/8" male adaptor..guess I would need another adator to get to 5/8 from the 1/4" end of the arm for the mic bar since it is 5/8" or I am missing something?
