Hey guys..
I´m thinking about the preferences of a kinda T-Bar mic attachment.
Im going to use this with my CA14 card mics. Now i didn´t ever use a mic stand or something like that so i don´t have a clue what to search for.
I definetely don´t want this to be standing on the ground.I suppose to use something like very small and maybe detachable/foldable.
What i need is a tool i can carry everytime i need and maybe in my pockets too.Does this exist?
I thought it would be nice if i could clip this on a fence for example to get the mics above everything.
Are there any recommendations what i could use? I mostly have to be 007ing so this shouldn´t be too large.
MAybe there´s an option like something to pull out ( car antenna) with a detachable "T" ?
I use the CA9100 with the CA14 cards if this helps with the decision..
Any help appreciated

Well, if you run openly enuf to warrant it, you can buy schoeps active bars and a small amount of tape around the ca14 body, and the two fit like a glove. I wouldn't recommend it for lo pro recording tho!

HE BEan..thx for reply ;)
What do you mean with " lo pro recording" :D i don´t get it.
i tried to search for that active bars but i don´t think i did find it.Could you send me a link ?
This (http://taperssection.com/index.php?topic=164359.0) one looks like what i was thinking about.
But is this one available ? I got crocodile clamps on my CA14´s so iam not sure if this works pretty well.
If you meant low pro recordings .. i really can´t figure out how good mine were in comparison to other stuff.
Maybe they are low.. but in my opinion they always turn out pretty well.
So the actual Bar won´t be the problem i suppose. The thing underneath the Bar is what has to be custom build i guess.
Actually iam able to fit something in i think so iam just looking for a small bar to fit my CA14´s.
And iam just leraning about lots of stuff i read .Like all different angles and positions on the bar.Is there a preffered one for the CA14 cards ?

"lo pro" = low profile (i.e. stealth)
Crocodile clips! More commonly known as alligator clips. ;D

If you have CA-14s with clips, you can clip them to a ruler and put that in a shock mount like many people do. Then if you want to mount it to a fence like you said, you can screw the shockmount onto a Gorillapod (you'll need a 1/4" to 5/8" thread adapter). I have done this and it works quite well. I like the Gorillapod Video with the super-strong magnetic feet. Same as the Gorillapod Magnetic but has a nice mini pan head with handle for smooth pan shots with a camera. The cheap-o shockmount I use came with the correct adapter so I didn't have to buy another one: http://taperssection.com/index.php?topic=163558.0;topicseen (http://taperssection.com/index.php?topic=163558.0;topicseen)

Yea that´s what i was about to :gun: at
I picked up a shock mount already..(quite cheap one ) and i tried with a piece of a folding ruler already.Think that´s good because i have the size printed on.If i switch configuration this helps a bit i think. The magnetic Gorillapod ia ordered also..
I can´t wait to test it.One thing iam not sure is the jecklin disc i wanna apply. How big should it have to be ?
I´ll post pictures as soon as the rig is complete. :D
Thx for the tips..

That's the shockmount I have. The bands it comes with are crap - I replaced them with small elastic hair ties. As for jecklin discs, search the forum - there is lots of good info about them here.

ok i have to be patient about shipping.
I purchased a monopod stand in between.
I thought i´d try it out as it is nice and small. And one can fix it with a spike to the floor. It is 1,80meters high..
Thoughts about it.. anybody? Did i go wrong with it?
It was quite cheap and comes with a carrier bag. The most important thing to me was its size of 60cm when folded into.
I´ll see if this is any benefit..

Well, if youre doing lo pro recording, it might be helpful, but if you openly record, then it wouldnt be much of a benefit IMO!
