Title: is there an nbox/naiant/etc equivalent of CMCXT?
Post by: jerryfreak on September 23, 2013, 11:38:40 PM
there should be......

how different are the electronics to get that sort of upper frequency extension?

Why?

I'm totally ignorant on the subject, so apologies, but why would anyone feel the need to record up to 40 khz?  Seems even more silly than the 196 khz sample rate debate.

Only thing I can see is the XT has high frequency bumps at like 10k and another larger one at 20k.  Is that what you're talking about?

i would think that 30 kHz is more than adequate, was more curious from a technical perspective.

when you say 'efficiency' are we talking strictly power consumption?

The closest thing to a CMCXT is going to be a KC5 with a CMCXT.

Dsatz will like chime in at some point, but I am fairly certain that Schoeps produces these bodies not because they actually think anyone can hear the difference, but because the market wants it.

None of you can hear over 20kHz. None of you.

umm - my cat appreciates recordings that capture the ultrasonic frequencies.

you should see him chilling on the couch soaking it all in.
