I need to power my two akg b18's (2 9v's for each) and would like to go the rechargeable route. Am I just going to want something like the standard looking 9v but with recharging capabilities? Or will I need something like a 9.6v nimh pack? Also I need to power my ad-20, (1 9v) and was wondering what is best for this.

I'm also trying to learn the best route with rechargeables. first, go to www.batteryspace.com they have everything including a faq/forum.
NiMH (nickel metal hydride)'s are better than NiCd (nickel cadmium)'s as far as lasting longer and no memory loss.
also, I was wondering if anyone could tell me what level of mAh I should get for a set of NiMH 9v and AA rechargeables from batteryspace. the batts will be used for guitar pedals, personal cd player and MD player etc. I'd like to get a smart charger, something like this:

Standard rechargable 9vs will allow you to run the battery internally for both the B-18s and AD20. 9.6v RC packs will require you to run the batteries externally.
The external RC batteries have a larger capacity and should give you longer run-times than the internal 9vs. Which you run is a matter of personal preference based on [1] whether you want internal or external power, and [2] how much run-time you'd like to get out of a single (set of) battery(ies).
Check the Archival Info forum for a thread titled something like "Calculating Run Time" for how you determine approximate run-time. Then check a thread titled something like "Gear Current Draw" for the AD20's current draw. Finally, calculate your tun-time for the AD20 to determine whether you want to run internal or external based on the run-time they'll each give you.
Sorry, can't help on the current draw of the B18s, but maybe someone else can?

I found that the AD-20 pulls 50mA, so we're not talking too much. I'm leaning towards internal, probably get these batteries:

I didn't really see any other options to charge them (in my price range), and I definitly don't like waiting 2-3 days to charge 5 batteries, any ideas?
