Title: Avantone CR-14 Ribbon Mic anyone??

Just traded a TV for an Avantone CR-14 ribbon mic. Anyone have any experience taping live shows with this mic. Shines in studio use. Any feedback appreciated.

Hmm.  I have a couple of these, but I've never used them for a live show.  Studio only.  Nice mic though!  As a figure 8, the sound is somewhat different between the front and the back.  You might want to try them out in advance and see what you prefer.  Does require significant gain, but then most ribbons do.
