Title: Question about AKG QC
Post by: mgleason007 on April 06, 2004, 02:22:08 AM
So I bought one used 480 with ck61 cap.  Is this going to make much of a difference?  I'm planning on buying a new one to run with this.  Would I be much better off buying a new pair and selling this one?  Or is the quality control at AKG so good that there's hardly any difference at all from one mic to the next?

They are usually pretty consistent but I have seen exceptions.  The worst was a 3dB difference in sensitivity between omni capsules (ck-62's).  I haven't measured frequency response with them too many times.
