Title: I Need some advice… My Microtrack II seems to have hit the floor…..
Post by: cavernut on April 27, 2014, 08:12:31 PM
I found my Microtrack II on my desk in several pieces…. I need to buy something for a bit Bucket.. I am looking at the layout on all the new recorders and the only one I can find for under $400 that seems user friendly is the ZOOM H6….. I never heard anything good about the Zooms before, but this one looks like they finally figured things out… Is this the case?… Thanks in advance for any help...

What exactly are your needs in a recorder?   Do you need digital input?

Tascam DR-100mkII is a relatively low cost recorder with a digital input.  I haven't checked lately but Microtracks are usually pretty inexpensive on eBay.  If you don't need a digital input then there are a whole new world of options for you.

I don't need a digital input, I have a Sound Devices Mix-Pre.... I like the idea of 4 Analog Inputs...
I liked the way the Microtrack was layed out...
Again, thanks for any input
