Post by: Billy Mumphrey on April 06, 2004, 07:13:47 PM
sp-cmc-2 > batt box > mini>rca adapter > wmod ua-5

Phantom power is on for the mk-012's.  will the ua-5 fry the sp-cmc-2's?

thanks

I assume your doing a mix with your Octavas going in the XLRs and your other mics going in via the RCA input on the back of the UA-5.  If this is the case then you have nothing to worry about because the UA-5 will NOT send phantom power through the RCAs.  Hope this helps.

This works like a champ.  I made a few tapes w/ MC012 & AT831 4-mic mixes.  Sorta wish I still had the 831s for just that reason.
