Recently I recorded a show, it would of been my best recording to date if a "wind" wasn't present on it (I was indoors)
I was right next to the left hand stack, it sounds almost like a soundboard.
Anyway it must have been an air con unit or fan above me, I didnt think at the time but its p***d me off it affected my recording.
Anyone know where I can get some wind shields that will fit the CA-11c? ....... Preferably in the UK
Thanks

Check with Chris Church. I believe he makes or has a source for dead rats for the CA-11's.

Yeh obviously he would be the first choice seeing as they are his mics :) But Id rather not pay customs etc from Canada when I can get them in the UK (hopefully)

Indoors? You generally don't need furry windscreens. Were you running them with foam windscreens and still got the wind noise? If search worked, you could find which size windtech screens will fit the CA-11's. You aren't the first looking for replacement foam windscreens for the CA-11's.

Also, was wind actually hitting the mics? Or is it a hum/buzz/roar that is just being generated by the air unit? If it's sound and not a direct breeze, I don't think windscreens would help much.

There was an air con unit or a fan above me, and it was blowing on me all night. Because I was drunk I didnt think, and was just glad of the cool air.
My mate was next to me and also recorded, he had windscreens so didnt pick up the "wind"
