I'm looking for plastic cylinder cases to hold my windscreens. Right now I just use a ziploc bag but I'd like to have them not get crushed up in my bag anymore. Something like a jumbo size of the Schoeps capsule storage cases. Looking for a size around 4" tall by 1.5-2" diameter. I know this has been discussed here in the past, but the search is just not cooperating for me lately. Anyone have any recommendations?

2 inch pvc pipe from Lowes or Home Depot would work. I'll bet you could find some in the scrap bin there that would be long enough.

prescription bottles

I use an old powdered drink container - the kind that holds those small packets of drink mix like Crystal Light. I cut one down to fit two windscreens perfectly. The screens in the pic are the small indoor ones i use on my AKG 480's.
But, not sure is they sell the drink mixes in those containers any longer.

Those are pretty much the same windscreens I'm using, but with Tbrown's Dead Muppetts over top of them.

Plastic shipping tubes. Check your local Staples or Office Depot.

Ive had a few pair of the DPA screens over the years and dont keep them in anything. They always come back to their original form as long as they arent crushed for too long. I just keep my DPA screens on my mk4x caps at all times. Everything of mine is already hooked up and ready to record. So my DPA screens stay on my mk4x caps on the KCY cable, and I keep my bigass Shures in a small Outdoor Products fanny pack from Walmart. Each fanny pack holds a pair of bigass Shures, and theyre only like $4-$5 max at WalMart! I need to figure out how to post pics from my phone so that I can show yinz all what Im talking about :) I have a Droid Ultra FWIW!

I use a 2" x 6 " Viewtainer. It holds the Schoeps B5D screens perfectly. The ends were glued on but a little work got them off so both sides are remove able.

There are many size options available.

Thanks everyone for all the great suggestions! I now have several options to pursue. I also found this after reading Len's suggestion, and looks similar to what cobiwan uses also:

HMMMM If you're going to buy those, how about one of the containers tennis balls come in?
-
In the past, I have bought bungee cords in a clear tube like that, and I think they were about $10.
-
paper mailing tubes at Staples for $4

Cobinwan already suggested these, but I also recently read about them for windscreen storage. Apparently available at Lowes and Home Depot.

For small condenser windscreens I use old film container which are getting hard to come by. For my large diaphragm mics I use the smaller plastic containers that coffee comes in. I have to say that even though that gives good protection, it is a bit awkward sometimes. I'd rather have a tube that can hold both windscreens together.
