I recently got a JB3 and I'm looking for info on where I can pickup an optical in cable for it. I checked around and I can't find one at any of my local music/electronics stores.
1. Where can I get one of these cables that go from standard toslink to this mini toslink? Is it just an adapter that plugs on the end or does it have a different style plug on each end?
2. Where can I get/what do I need to connect from co-ax s/pdif out to this lil mini optical input?
Any suggestions, info and links would be greatly apprciated ;D

this will start you, use a hosa converter to go from spdif(coax) to spdif(Optical.....the odl-276 will do!!!!

Also, I know that you can find the stuff for your #1 questions at Radio Shack, and most likely #2 Radio Shack also.

the Acoustics Research optical cable I bought came with 4 of the toslink > mini converters. Was supposed to have 2 in there, but I guess I got lucky at someone else's expense...
Rat Shack sells them individually too.

How is RCA for cables?
WalMart has em with adaptors for $17.96

That's probably a pretty good deal since it has 2 adapters that sell for $6 each at RS. Plus it has the caps attached to the cable so you don't lose them.

6 feet looks like a bit much...i somehow doubt my jb3 and ua5 will ever be 6 feet apart at a show
-
yeah that is the only downside... but it is really flexible, it coils up fairly easily... Beats spending $30 on a cable and $6 a piece on adaptors tho...
Think of it as $8 adaptors with a free cable :P
