will this work on a R-44?
Yup, with a reverse polarity cable, once the output cable tip size is figured out.

whoops. right. so, it will run the R-44 on 12v and fade the rest as heat?
i'm guessing the 14000mah number is based on 5v, right?
also, who knew these could jump start a car? ???
here's another page with much better pics and information:

got it in. need to go to ratshack and find a tip that fits. will update.
Update: it takes an adaptaplug tip "N" as the output. powers up my R-44 perfectly. running a duration test now.

How'd things turn out? Runtime? Any chance of pics with the battery next to the r44?

14000mah is probably based on the 3.2v-3.4v internal cell voltage, which is the typical marketing speak these days
so this battery is probably about 44.8 - 47.6 Whr
It has a circuit in it to handle HIGH Amp's TEMPORARILY to start a car - a normal ~12v Lithium battery would probably melt/explode or shut off if you tried to start a car with it

forgot to update. it ran the R-44 for a few hours. but not nearly as long as a 5400mah dvd battery. overall bust i think.
