Title: Butterfly player

Looks interesting, will it do something foobar doesn't?

I downloaded the .exe - but, Windows 8.1 wont let it run.

Since he says he developed it on Win 8.1/64...you'd think he'd have this first step down!

Plus the Linux snark at the end is not impressive!

I'm the author of Butterfly. I've been silent reader on these forums for some time, but I decided to register now to be able to answer this.

That problem "Windows 8 does not allow Butterfly to run", should be fixed. At least I can't produce it and couple of Windows 8 users are saying it works. However, if you still get this problem, in the dialog where it says that the program cannot run, you should be able to click "More info". After that you should see "run anyway" link.

Yeah, I know that Linux rant was not very professional, but it's really boring to get hundreds "Does it work on Linux, if not when it will?" kind of messages. I don't have anything against Linux, I've done software for it, but for now Butterfly remains Windows only software.
