Post by: George on April 12, 2004, 09:49:57 PM
I have some AA rechargeables for my M1 (which work great) and wouldnt mind getting into 9V rechargeables for my MV-100 and PS-2.  Any links are greatly appreciated, thanks!

Today at Target, I got an Energizer charger with 4 AA 2100mah Nimh's  for 9.99.   The charger with also does 9v's.
I'll mostly use them in the camera as I don't run my M1 much anymore after getting a coax/optical converter for my JB3, but I would guess you'd get a few hours off 200mah.
Hopefully that is the correct price...it rang up at 19.99, but got it for 9.99 as that's what the price was posted as.   They are by the film.

yah, that does look like a good deal... but for at home charging, i like to have one charger for every 4 batteries i have, but i guess if you're charging in your car, that many chargers won't help...

for your mv-100, go with the lithiums, i regret once using the rechargeable 9v (220mah Powerex) and it ruined a perfect evening.

something like this?

http://www.drugstore.com/qxp84436_333181_sespider/ultralife/10_year_smoke_alarm_battery_9v_lithium.htm

How much life can i expect out of two of these?   And...

What happened to your taping experience when you used the rechargeables?

i've used the Ultralife 9v in the past, a bit pricy in comparison to the Energizer Lithium 9V from Ebay. see thread:

>>How much life can i expect out of two of these?

i've ran my mv-100 for a total of 13 hrs. recording time w/phantom.

>>What happened to your taping experience when you used the rechargeables?

the red light of death came on after about 2hrs into a 3 set show.  i've never used rechargeable 9volts since.

Ah ok, same thing happened to me with rechargeable AA's at a Iron Maiden show, batteries were full charged and died after 20 minutes of use...turned out the batteries we're dead beause when i tried to charge them again they we're charged within a few mins  >:(

+t for the link, i went on ebay and ordered a six pack of those Lithiums!  Gracias senor!
