Title: Sennheiser MKH 815T shotgun - Need advice for a home-brew 'T' battery supply

Any suggestions, advice? I'm more of a P48 guy, but my best buddy is letting his old Sennheiser T-powered shotgun go for a song. Just needs PS 8>]
Should be simple, I just want to make sure I don't do anything dumb and fry it.

BTW, notwithstanding the risk of it putting someone's eye out, is this thing still worth finding a use for?

The 816 is still an excellent mic. if you need the extra directivity.

I still have a pair of the 816TF.

Get the 48V phantom to T adaptor from Canford Audio.

It takes in 48V phantom power and outputs 12V T power for the microphone.

Thanks for the link, John. I'm in the US. I had a look and found that Lectrosonics also make one, at not too bad a price, either.
Might get her fired up soon 8>]

PS - Just found out Jon (Naiant) also makes a 'T' power PFA adaptor in an XLR. Cool.
