I was wondering how most tapers configure these type of mics on a stand. Just point them at the stacks or XY, DIN, etc?
-
Don't forget the audix micros! m1290's

There's no reason why you wouldn't want to apply the same stereo techniques to "stealth" mics on a stand than you would for any other pair of mics.

Do a search at archive.org for that mic. I'm sure there are some recordings on there that you could sample.

i've used at831s on a stand and typically run xy

what kind of stuff are you taping Jon?
My sp-cmc-2's always shine(d) in ortf or din.
My dad has this sunglasses clip that makes a beautiful mini-mic clip for xy. you have to see the photos, they'll be in rig pictures in next couple days.

I am interested in these mics. Can you recommend what they could be mounted on for every stereo configuration?

They come with small mic clips, I bought an AKG universal bar (I belive thats what its called, I'm sure Ill be corrected if not) Works great. Just switch one of the arms so that one is on top and one is underneth the cross bar.
