I'm running the 1.40.06 and am having issues w/ dropping samples from my UA-5......I've used the recording FAQ from the NJB3Tapers forum w/o any success. I think it might have to due w/ the settings. I've been setting it to Continuous "ON" in the recording settings. Should the Continuous be set to off? Does this make a difference? Any other ideas? The FAQ doesn't mention Continuous at all.....
Thanks
Brian
try emptying your HD and defragging... mine gets buggy when it gets over half full.
i doubt the continuous would have anything to do w/ it, do what lee said
BTW, in case you didnt know, continuous just makes it automaticly start a new file after 3 hours.
i don't think continuous would have anything to do with it. movement of optical cable might.

john, awile back when i did my initial jb3 and batt tests, i could pull my optical cable almost all the way out and it wouldnt be audibela nd was still getting a signal, however, if the siganl got knocked off 'center', it might happen like that
Can you defrag the JB3 hard drive? I just barely got one and I'm learning. How do you do it?

well, heres the deal utah, if you do a disc cleanup, i dont think anything is really gained, and if you have personal settings, they get VANISHED from this cleanup, however, if you just reformat the drive(ala 'format'), you keep your persoanl settings, and you also have a clean HD drive to write to, so i would personally 'format' the drive rather than do a disc cleanup on it, but YMMV
the ofrmat also wipes away your persoanl screen, but who cares, it keeps your HD clean/phresh!!!
phuck the disc cleanup, do a disc format ;)then reboot, after the format is done
It's a great piece and I'm learning the tricks and such. Glad we're all learning from each other. ;)
