Title: Headphone Amp required?
Post by: tapeworm48 on March 15, 2015, 01:31:52 PM
I have the audio technica LP120 turntable running into my Onkyo TX-SR503 receiver.  Receiver does not have a Phono input.  Seems like I really have to jackup the volume on my receiver to get the output to a loud, listening volume.  Will a headphone amp help with this?

Thanks

Looks like there should be a switch near the USB port to switch between line level and phono. It should be on line for your setup.

You need a Phono Pre Amp. I'll dig around and try to find a few inexpensive ones. I'll update this post in a second.
