Title: Safety track using Sound Devices Mixpre-D?

Can it be done using one mic and two recorders (PMD-661 and Sony M10)?

If you are using a Mix Pre D, (sorry I have a USB Pre 2 so I am less familiar), you probably have more than one output. On my USB Pre 2, I use the headphone out into a line in and lower the volume as a safety backup.
