First time transfering a show and need some help. The concert I taped was one guy on acoustic guitar through an amp. During part of the recording there are some major drop outs and peaks in on channel or the other. How can I edit this in Cool Edit Pro 2.0? Amplify? Normalize?
Also there seems to be some minor feedback throughout much of the second set, I don't know if somehow I caused this or what, but is there any way to edit this out? (probably a long shot)

i suggest the CEP Help files. it's actually very informative and quite easy to understand.
with amplitude adjust., normalization, hard limiting, etc., it's best to first understand what each processing is then learn how to apply it to achieve your desired results.
i don't think anyone can give you a simple answer to your questions. learning how to use CEP will be a good thing to know.
