Title: Cases for Nakamichi CP-4 Shotgun Caps?
Post by: down2earthlandscaper on April 08, 2015, 01:14:06 PM
I've searched around and found these http://www.alfacase.com/#!mic-tube/c21jb , but I was wondering if anyone out there has some creative ideas for an alternative or has come across a good solution for a carrying case for shotgun mics?

I saw the cigar caddy idea for regular sized mics - that's a good one.

Just need something shotgun sized… Tube, case, or otherwise….

Thanks!

You could roll your own with PVC pipe and end caps.  If you store them with their foams on they would be well protected.

Great suggestion, Boltman. Thanks.
I was searching around online, looking at mailing tubes as an option, but PVC would give them much more protection than the cardboard.

I'm going to try both of these options and see which looks the least like a pipe bomb!
I'm sure either will get interesting reactions from venue security...
