Title: DENECKE AD-20
Post by: rowjimmytour on April 18, 2004, 12:10:26 AM
Can you plug a AD-20>JB3 (via optical cable) and get no drop out of any kind? I was interested in mabey buyin' a AD-20 and a pair of microphones for mabey $500.00. Is this possible(w/ all the cables and extras I well need)? Whats the odds of findin' a AD-20 used and some microphones ? Any suggestions on mid price  microphones that well sound decent?
Peace!
Thanks in advance

Don't forget that with the ad-20 you'll need a phantom power source unless the mics you happen to get are internally powered by a battery.....which is unlikely.

If you won't be stealthing I'd take a look at an Oade mod ua-5....about the same price as a used ad-20 and phantom power supply.

you might need an attenuator cable if you are going to have mics that use a battery box as well...
