Hello,
in your opinion whats the best handheld stand-alone 2 track recorder with the highest grade mics build in?
Sony PCM-D100? Are the Zoom Recorders any good?
Sometimes i cannot bring in my whole rig into the venues so i'd like to have a stand-alone recorder ready in my back-pocket.
Currently I use the Sony HD-MVR 1, never use the video aspect, so i thought i could use a "proper" dedicated recorder instead.
I also own the Nagra-SD - does anyone know the quality of the "7070125000 NM-MICSII High Quality Stereo clip-on microphone (Green)" ?

With the Nagra SD you already have a good portable recorder, is there a reason why you don't want to use that ?
If you're looking for a cheap recorder, the Tascam DR-05 does quite a good job with it's built in mics, here's a recording I made of a big band
with the DR-05 lying on a table between the beer glasses.

My buddy uses an Olympus LS-10 which IMO has "better" internals than my PMD 661 (direct comparisons have been made)
I'm not sure if it the "best" standalone, but I have thought about picking one up to augment my gear for those times when internals have to be the option. If you go brand new, Olympus sells the LS-14 now replacing the LS-10.
