Title: d100 voltage question.
Post by: pnobles on April 19, 2004, 06:04:29 PM
i know its 4.5, but is it possible to run it off a 6V SLA?  i know some people run their M1's  off them.

What do you D100 user's use?

thanks

It's possible, yes.  Do you take a chance of frying your deck over time?  Possibly.  I use internal rechargable AAs.

Marc - what are you taping that you need a monster-capacity D-cell battery pack for your D100?  Or do you only break it out for festivals?

i only use it (sled) when i tape local tribute bands. it has 2 dc plugs so i can run both the d100 and m1 off the sled. i normally tape the aud & sbd for a matrix thereafter.  other than that, i've only open taped Primus in '03/'04. otherwise, everything else is stealth for me with AA's.

i've ran both my decks through countless hours with the sled and no smoke signals yet.  (knocking on wood) :)

I have run my D100 and Mod SBM1 off of a 6V SLA for going on 3 years with no problems...
