Is there a smaller low profile mount for these?
Thanks.

I searched with no luck. I even ordered some Chinese knock off A-20's but while they fit the body they couldn't support the weight. In the end while I liked the sound I found them too bulky to carry around & sold them.

I've noticed people selling used mic clips for the older 414s from the 80s and earlier that are a much lower profile than the stock shock mounts. I never investigated if those older mounts/clips worked well with the newer 414s when I still had them. You can see an example of what I'm referring to in the pics of this ebay auction:

In practice, I usually just found myself carrying around the briefcase the stereo set came with when I used them at shows, and never managed to devise something more low key for carrying/stowing mics/mounts, etc.

The new kits come with the typical mic clip, a little slimmer than what you found, plus a shock mount. My concern was running them with a mic clip instead of a shock mount, I know the capsule is internally shock mounted but I still prefer an external shock mount.

I store the mics in a pelican-like hard case, mounts in a padded bag, along with everything else but the stand in my gear bag. No problems (knock wood!).
As to the OP, I've had no luck finding a smaller profile mount, either. :(

Rycote makes some nice looking ones that are a little smaller, and no doubt better, but not cheap.

I noticed those in a kit selling in the Y/S and was like WTH are those. My kit is obviously older and only came with the larger shocks.
They are a tad large and awkward in the bag.
