Not enough specs posted for me yet... more to come I am sure. Would love to know a little more. Not that I need any more mics. But Dam those look interesting!

Will it live up to the hype!!!?

Um, why do I want a 100mm diaphragm?.. because bigger must be better! Mostly marketing BS and outright lies..
Revolutionary Microphone Engineering
Audeze has developed the world's first planar magnetic microphone.
..except it's not and they haven't. Fostex did it a couple decades ago. Link to a PDF explaining the tech and their line of mics based on it at the time- http://www.coutant.org/m11rp/fostex.pdf (http://www.coutant.org/m11rp/fostex.pdf)

I think what's "revolutionary" about this is that they just took one of their headphone drivers and attached it to different electronics! Seriously... even the housing looks like they ripped it off one of their LCD series headphones.
Sennheiser and AKG both make excellent headphones and mics, but the construction between the two product lines is a little more, um, different.

But they look fucking coooooolllll. 8)
