Title: Audacity multi-track playback stutter

Fellas.... ( and any ladies out there)

   I am using Audacity to replace some crappy DV sound with a good DAT recording of the same show. I am using the crappy DV audio as the base synch track, for length, and adding good audio track by track. After about 12 tracks the playback is no longer smooth. any ideas how i can keep everything intact and keep adding trax?

Well, throwing some RAM at it seemed to work just fine. One other peculiarity(sp?) is that some of my files got corrupted somehow, preventing me from copying a project (Save As wouldn't work). I found the offending files and deleted them, and things are back to normal. go figure.
