Title: Oktava MK-012 too boomy, where is the thread?
Post by: lamacchiacosta on February 29, 2016, 05:02:15 PM
Hi everyone,
apologise in advance to fill up the forum with rubbish, but it seems I cannot find the thread about the mod to do for boomy Oktava MK012. The one which tells the resistors to be changed.
Can anyone kindly point me to it?
Thanks.

Hi,
thanks a lot for it.
Is not the one I was looking for. I remember a couple a months ago there was one on this forum specific about the "boomy" issue that seems disappeared.

Mike Joly does an awesome mod to these...they sound great.  He sells them modded or you can send in yours.

perhaps the MOD 1 in the first post here (http://taperssection.com/index.php?topic=7055.0) is what you're looking for

Yes, that's the one!
:-)

Thanks. I couldn't find it.
I'd love to try the Ovktavamod but the guy is in US and I am in Europe which means it will double the costs. I'll bring my Oktavas with me at my next US trip.

:-)

Thanks again.
