Just wondering if this mindisic is capable of recording as it has no "mic in" opening. Would the mics available from soundprofessionals record through the "line in" ?
Thanks

Yes, with one of Sound Pros' battery modules.

yep, the d00d is right.
there's plenty of info floating around about SP mics here too.
-
however, you must remember that the battery module DOES NOT boost the signal to line level. that is what a preamp does. if you are only using a batt box then the show must be loud enough so that the signal is hot and is already at line level. fyi. :)

Thanks for the info!
When I tried plugging a mic into the line in and pressed record it didnt record anything? Any sugestions as why?
-
it might go into record-pause mode, which means you have to hit pause or play to actually get it to record.

first, what kind of mic are you using? line-in does not provide any power to the mic(s). if you're not internally powering the mics or using a batt box, then you're mics have no power and they will not record. also, like I said before, unless you're recording a loud concert/sound, then the signal will not be hot enough to go line in.

I was just testing a mindisic player to see if it would record as it did not have a "mic in" like mine does! I was using a really cheap mic, just checking to see if it recorded anything! From the information you have given me, i believe I need a battery box!
Thanks for your help.

cool, if you run into any problems just ask, sometimes my rambling is confusing
