Ideally yu would want to come out of your DAT through the 7pin to a digital input on a bit perfect soundcard recording with something like CDWave or SoundForge.

you need a digital soundcard which will attach to a pci slot inside your pc. you'll connect your digital out on your dat (7pin out) to the digital in on your soundcard. You also need software on your pc that will record the data to your harddrive. you can use cd Wave for this and it is freeware. good luck.
