Title: Km 184 phantom power question.

Don't know much about phantom power but if I was to get a pair of the 184's would they be powered by my SD MP-2 preamp or would I need to purchase something else to power them?? Thanks tt

Yes, your SD mp-2 will power the 184s.  Just make sure it's set to 48V and not 15V since the 184s need 48V.

Actually your SD pre is a great choice to pair with 184's...

That can also be a warm/muddy combo IMO too! I always liked the Neumann sound with Grace Pre's like the V2/V3, but that's just me personally!

Listen to LOTS of samples and save up and buy what you REALLY want to ;)
