I was wonderin' if I could modify SP CMC-4's 1/8" single plug end to two male XLR ends w/o any problems for less then $28. I could buy a adapter((2)XLR males>(1)1/8" female) for $28 or buy locking phantom power cables ((2)XLR males>(2)1/8 females w/ mics havin' 1/8" males @ the end for $78. These prices are from Sound Pro and no I haven't checked prices @Rat Shack or any where else. Also I was wonderin' if any of these adapters would weaken the signal if I use UA-5 phantom power?
Thanks again far in advance for all my silly ?'s but I would rather ask first then buy!!!
Peace

You need to buy the phantom power adapters. I asked the same question in this thread http://www.taperssection.com/yabbse/index.php?board=3;action=display;threadid=17967;start=0 (http://www.taperssection.com/yabbse/index.php?board=3;action=display;threadid=17967;start=0)
Check it out for a detailed discussion and instructions of how to do the mod yourself.

if you plug the SP mics directly into pahntom power you will fry them.
