Title: Tascam DR-2D won’t stay on.

Seller states it powers up but once the switch is let go it shuts off. Maybe a firmware update is needed. It's not abused. It looks brand new. Any ideas? I wouldn't want to send it back to Tascam.

Doesn't seem like firmware related.  Seems like it could be a faulty switch.

Maybe bad batteries or bad contact? I did not find myself having a firmware problem with dr2d. Nonetheless, try to connect it via usb to your computer and install the latest firmware.
