how well could i expect the JB3 to perform if its moved around slightly. for example, can it run vertically inside a fanny pack ala stealth?
-
you shouldn't have any problems with it as long as you don't give it too much of a shock. I use mine in my car as an audio player on my dash and it seems to handle the bumps OK. I wouldn't go jogging with it tho.

i guess more specifically, im askin about recording :)

i put mine thru some shit running some tests as soon as i got it, you shouldnt have any problems, just dont dance like a spun w00k t00 much ;)

nice.. thanks. i was just doing a transfer of a show in wav format, from HD to JB3, on the last file, the JB3 gave me an error "overheating, shutting down" now that make me worried about running it in a fanny pack. anyone else get that error b4?

running upright should not be a problem.
i'd be careful about shocking it while recording, in theory it should be the same as playback (unlike an md, which has a shock buffer on playback, but not on record) but i'd hate to have a fucked recording be the result of a shock to it.
