Hello......I know this question has probably been asked about 8,000 times, but here it goes:
Just got a D7 (I usually record straight to CD, but needed a secondary, more portable rig). Which DAT tape would you guys recommend? Stay away from the 90m? Also, same question about cleaner tape?
Thanks in advance!!

use the maxell dds (green wrapper). some sonys have been known to jam.
-
I always use pro dat tapes, usually BASF or EMTEC
-
HHB tapes have never let me down.
-
Thanks guys! I guess I'll stick with a Sony head cleaner tape.....

sony cleaning tapes seem to work just fine...I just don't like their media. Never had a problme with the cleaning tape, though.

Hmm.....not finding any with the 'green wrapper'. Just these ones:

I'm assuming this is the same tape you're referring to.....?
Thanks!

yeah, been with the HS-4/60s for about a year and a half now, after I tossed two packs of that SONY junk into the fire when nearly half of them wouldn't load properly.........no worries now 8)

sony have had intermittent casing problems so i just stay away from them all together now.
