Does adding an adapter add any unwanted "issues"? My mics are all straight plugs and was thinking on adding one of these to the mics instead of re-soldering new plugs.

But in the real world, just another *potential* point of failure. YMMV...
I encourage you to re-solder the plugs. These look cheap and quite possibly won't form a great connection.

This is ideal but I haven't had a problem with mine (yet) and they look exactly like the ones OP linked. It's a cheap experiment, at least.
