Thanks, forgot about dedicated thread
I taped Petty and Roger Waters with
Nicky's Gefell nbox combo, killer recordings
If I didn't already have MK41v's, I would have Gefell hypers
You would need a MG cable that only runs MG caps

I'm also a fan of the MG210's and I have a set of Nicky's Gefell nBobs...

If I wasn't heavily invested in all the Schoeps
and assorted kc5 , cmc6 etc I would have MG's
Do you have my Roger Waters? It may be the best
recording I ever made and it was made with MG's
Embarrassing for a big Schoeps guy, but I will always admit
what I think sounds best, and MG hypers sound the best in The Wells Fargo
Don't forget they have a 2 million pa, so it's going to sound good
what else have you taped there? anything that would be reasonably apples-to-apples on location and quality of sound (at the show)

My previous best(s) were all center floor 10-20 rows back
Roger Waters was done right under the right stack, so no
nothing the same location. I only used Nicky's hypers because
I had sold mine and thought I could go without, wrong, so very wrong!!

Don't have that Ed. Need to. I'm in the same boat with two full Schoeps setups, it'd cost me a lot to add a MG rig, ain't selling any Schoeps gear.
A couple of TTB recordings from February I think blew me away. It was a fantastic room but in my heart of hearts I know that the Schoeps wouldn't have sounded better.
I bought a set M20 caps and Nbob actives back in 2015. I eventually sold them. Then after listening to my WSP Red Rocks pulls a few years later I sold of all my schoeps gear and put together another M20 Nbob active rig. Makes great recordings. Mine is a KCY setup I did that so I could run it with my VMS 5U, IPA, and PFA's. Gordon posted a ak40 vs M20 comp over in the mic section if you want to listen. He liked them enough to move to Microtech Gefell.
Again, stupid question here. Are the capsules the same size as the Schoeps or are they smaller diameter in size?
Schoeps = 20mm
Gefells = 21mm

Listening now, wow! Ed, Is this a raw recording?
Do MG caps fit into it goes to eleven din and din-a bars? Base connection of nbob should be the same, right?
Yes

No, i balance the channels and ran thru ozone for a smoother sound.
But not far off from the master. In a great spot with great gear, not much to do.
I'm guessing you like it, huh?
