Title: Gooseneck--where to buy?
Post by: Karl on May 21, 2004, 09:54:27 PM
I have the Sound Professionals AT853's with the gooseneck option, pictured below.  I am doing the unmod to them, but I am going to need more gooseneck.  Does anybody know where I can purchase this?  Any help would be appreciated, I've been poking around and haven't been able to find anything.

No one can help?  If nothing else I will give Sound Pro's a call on Mon, and see if I can get them from them direct or where they get them from.

Yes, because I am in recording situations where I don't have time to set up the mics properly if I don't have gooseneck.  With gooseneck, I just pull it out of my bag, plug it in, point the gooseneck the way I want it, and then hold the mics/battery box with one hand and the recorder with the other hand.  Sometimes I set my bag on the ground and the recording gear on top of the bag, so that I can be free to run a video camera.  This way, the mics stay put just the way I like them.

I've been using the mics as pictured above for over a year and it suits my purposes.

If there is an easier more obvious way, I am open to it!
