Hi, a newbie question here. I'm getting a DPA 4061 to connect to a ugly battery box and then Sony PCM A10. In the interests of budget, I am only getting one for now - I've read that many of you have two into a splitter adapter.
For only one mic, do you think the following adapter is ok?

Hope the link works.
Thanks!
Do you have plans to get a second mic in the future? If so, you could just get a stereo Y adapter and only use one part of it for now. Then later when you get the second mic you're ready to rock with your adapter.
Thanks heathen, in the future future yes. I've read that a few members here got their own made in this regard - It's still the case that there aren't readymade ones available? I'll reread those threads.
best bet is to ship a female to female microdot cable to ted gak to cut in half and term to a stereo mini jack

The adapter linked above will work without modification for a single mic.
If you purchase a second one later, you (or someone with soldering skills) can easily modify them to form a Y stereo adapter. Modifying a CDint cable is another way of doing the same. That route is likely more costly, yet allows you to choose the length of cable if you wish to make a long-leg Y.
Thanks jerryfreak and Gutbucket - great suggestions.
I'm in the U.K. so think I can dust off my soldering iron and TC station.
Can I ask who is Ted Gak?

That eBay seller you linked made me a Y adapter a few years ago.
Thanks - that's good to know. I got the single adapter and it works well :coolguy:
