Title: power
Post by: aquaman on May 25, 2004, 07:03:07 PM
the battery system in my nomad jukebox is unreliable. Plugging into the wall is always better. But what if there is no wall to plug into? Is there some type of battery pack tapers use?

Any idea why the battery is unreliable?  Do you run 2 batts?

Just being nosy.   ;)

this is the original nomad jukebox which came with 8 rechargable NiMH batteries. Yes you can record with the jukebox 1 at 48 khz.  the batteries just don't last a predictable amount of time. I have tested them many times just playing stuff in the car. Sometimes they only last 20 minutes. The longest they have lasted is around 3 hours. but that is not the case every time and I don't know why.

Man, the batts only lasting 20 minutes sucks.  How much to replace the NiMH batts?  Since there are 8 of them, maybe one has a bad cell.
