Title: Value question
Post by: Aaron734 on May 26, 2004, 07:17:28 PM
I decided to buy a JB3 today without thinking about it at all. Mostly because my dat broke last night and I feel really uneasy about the thought of having to break down and use my MD tomorrow. Question: Is $175 a good deal for a refurbished JB3 that is being sent directly from creative?? Comes packaged just like new with everything.

thanks a lot!!

OK, thanks, I wanted to make sure. There are a few for sale on eBay right now directly from creative. I actually was outbidded, my max was $175, I got a notice right when the auction ended that I had the chance to buy another at my max bidding price. There are some more, I am not sure about how many, but I am pretty sure there were more.

Aaron --

I watched the Creative Labs refurb units on ebay for a while before I bought one, and $175 is a good price.  I never did DAT (went from MD to JB3) but the fast firewire transfers on JB3 are great, as are never buying media or flipping tapes.  I really like the backlight too.  I think you will be happy with it; everyone else seems to be.

BTW, how do you like your Behringer mbx1002 mixer?  I was looking at one before I got a Mixpad, but folks said the mic pres are noisy.
