Title: Backing up FLAC's to DVD?
Post by: Fatah Ruark (aka MIKE B) on June 06, 2004, 09:47:15 PM
Okay, this is what I'm trying to do:

I have 86 GB of FLAC's (and SHN's) that I want to back up to DVD. Ideally I'd like to make this as easy as possible.

Is there any way (a program perhaps) that I can just say "Back up all of these folders" and have it split it all up in 4.7GB chunks. OR do I just have to do that manually.

I'd also like to do this with my OS drive (about 8GB).

Right now I have Roxio Easy CD 6 and Nero 6.

Any ideas or thoughts.

Thanks,
MIKE B

I've started archiving & vining via DVD; and so far, I haven't come across anything to automatically split things off. But would you want to? What I like about archiving to DVD is that I can keep complete shows together. Having a program arbitrarily split by size only would defeat that. Of course, you would be able to maximize storage capacity that way.

yeah, id rather know exactly what i have on disc, i wouldnt want 2 or 3 songs from a different show on another disc like that, youd have to search for them then, and if thats the case, ya might as well do cdr's!!

IMO of course!
